Abstract
Described is use of an ORTEC energy dispersive x-ray fluorescence spectrophotometer to distinguish different printings of stamps of the same design over a 15-year period. Differentiation is based on the chemical elements present as observed by x-ray fluorescence. Also included are reports on comparison of the same varieties in visible white light and long wave ultraviolet. -- AATA
