The purpose of this forum was to explain to a nonscientific audience the range of dating, fingerprinting techniques, and services available and to provide examples of the work of some archaeological science laboratories. Representatives of four laboratories outlined the resources and equipment of their respective laboratories. General discussion on scientific techniques and services focused on dating, both thermoluminescence and magnetic, sampling, and conservation.
