Abstract
Historical and archaeological research was carried out in order to provide recommendations regarding the restoration of the original appearance of the theater as it was 14 April 1865. Private and public documentary evidence was examined to determine whether these written sources are supported by the surviving architectural features. Plans for the restoration were drawn with careful scrutiny of the Brady photographic materials and of later photographs which were taken to document the 1893 collapse. This study documents the building sequence at that site. -- AATA
