Abstract
Explains, in part, the mystery of Rapa Nui, based on results of the most recent archaeological investigations and documented sources. The evidence is analyzed from an anthropoecological point of view to understand the evolution of the historical and cultural processes that occurred under such special conditions. This process has many points in common with the beginning of neolithic civilizations in different places and times.
