The paper details the preservation activities by the Australian National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) for one of Australia's best known and archaeologically most significant sites. Details on the history of archaeological investigations of the site; site deterioration; site protection works and future proposals are given. Discussion not only includes the preservation aspects but building of public access routes which also function to preserve the sight. -- AATA
