Abstract
This article elaborates the deterioration of some oil paintings by Ms. Pan Yuliang, a famous Chinese oil painter sojourning in France (in twentieth century). The causes of the deterioration are pointed out. Besides, the materials and techniques involved in restoring these oil paintings, as well as the effects of the restoration are discussed in the article.
