Abstract
Two varieties of phlogopite are recognized from ores and wall-rock metasomatites of the magnetite and phlogopite-containing magnesian skam deposits in the Leglier-Timpton belt (Aldan Shield). The single crystals and lamellar grains have potassium-argon ages of 1813 and 1832 million years, respectively. The critical temperature (T<sub>k</sub>) data indicate protracted postcrystalline cooling. The T<sub>k</sub> values range 290-700°. A paleotemperature model is constructed based on T<sub>k</sub> values. -- AATA
