Abstract
The paper presents findings of excavations and surface site collections conducted in 1971, 1972 and 1976 in the region neighboring Kikori Station, Gulf Province, Papua New Guinea. The paper has been limited to descriptive analyses. Topics include: the natural environment of the sites; the cultural setting; the Samoa site (with information on dating pottery, stone, bone and shell artifacts, and faunal remains); and a similar look at other surface sites which included pottery and axe-adzes. -- AATA
