In 1952 archaeologists working at Qumran discovered parchment scroll fragments and two rolled-up strips of copper, long ago com-pletely oxidized and extremely brittle. Cleaning revealed traces of Hebrew script engraved on the inner surface, but insufficiently clear to ascertain the nature of the documents. After three years of deliberation, the strips were cut into segments in the laboratories of the Manchester College of Science and Technology, England. The twenty-three segments that were successfully separated revealed the whole text of the document, but there is no consensus on its (textual) significance. -- AATA
