Abstract
A brief survey of the principles of activation analysis is given. The activation methods used, e.g. irradiation with 26MeV deuterons, 30 MeV protons and fast neutrons, using the IKO synchro cyclotron and with high energy photon irradiation, using the IKO linear electron accelerator, are described. An approximate equation suitable for charged particle activation analysis is discussed. The determination of Fe, Ni, Zn, As, Sn. Sb, and Pb in objects with a copper matrix is treated. A method to determine the weight ratio N/F in fossil bones and teeth using high energy photon activation is also described. -- AATA
