Abstract
Oriental paintings are so different from western paintings from the technical and aesthetic standpoint as to warrant a special training course in Japan for Western Conservators. ICOM and its Japanese committee were in charge of the meeting, which in view of its short time, was limited in it studies to paintings on silk and paper, and principally the Kakemono, the byobu and books. -- AATA
