Abstract
Detailed account of the construction, state of preservation, and repairs needed by three artistic cabinets of Austrian or Bavarian origin. The task was to preserve these display pieces to the greatest extent in their original form while conserving the beauty of their appearance. The article recounts how this task was accomplished citing the individual operations, the materials used and the time it took for each cabinet. A bibliography is appended. -- AATA
