Abstract
A lacquer bowl from an excavation was dehydrated by a treatment with alcohol in water and xylol in alcohol. Finally the bowl was impregnated with a 7% solution of Paraloid B 72 in alcohol. To be able to do the treatment at a temperature of 10°C, a special tank was constructed.
