Paper deals with the analyses of about 200 medieval jetons and badges from France, Tournai, England, the Low Countries, and Germany. The method of analysis was energy-dispersive x-ray fluorescence on a cleared edge. Most jetons are brasses containing small amounts of lead and tin. There are chronological changes in alloy compositions, the timing of which is specific to certain regional groups. The trace element content, in particular nickel and antimony, seems to be related to the source of copper. -- AATA
