Abstract

A new algorithm is presented which permits the calculation of Munsell hue, value, and chroma notation from Commission Internationale de l'Ã‰clairage x, y, and Y data. A flow chart illustrates the principles of the algorithm. Munsell data for 17 diverse colors were derived using the algorithm. These were compared with the Munsell notations obtained by graphical interpolation. -- AATA
