Numerous churches between the Thames and South Mimms, Hertfordshire, contain a ferruginous-cemented gravelstone of various types which have been termed ironstone, flint rubble, carstone, puddingstone, and the like. The name <i>ferricrete</i> is now proposed for this whole category, and more examples of buildings containing it are sought.
