Abstract
Melrose Station in the Borders region of Scotland has been restored. Work included new floors, restructuring the roof, rebuilding the chimney head, restoring the stonework, repairing and renewing windows and doors, and completely refitting the interiors. Restoration of the stonework was in cream colored Blaxter Sandstone supplied by Natural Stone Products Ltd. Work included cutting out and renewing dressed ashlar corner stones, band course stones, molded and dressed ashlar lintels, sills, jambs, mullions, transoms, and coping stones. It has now been opened as a craft center. -- AATA
