Abstract
One of the important advances in nuclear counting technique in recent years is the development of lithium drifted germanium (Ge(Li)) gamma-ray detector. The principal advantage of Ge(Li) detectors over the NaI(Tl) scintillation detector is much better resolution of the former. Results of rock testing are described using this procedure.
