Abstract

A study investigating the ability of thiourea dioxide (TDO) and some other reducing agents to retard the photoyellowing of unmodified wool; wool pre-treated with phenolic materials that mimic tyrosine and dityrosine; and wool to which fluorescent whitening agents have been applied is described.
