Methods of spectroscopy and thin-layer chromatography used for the identification of dyes were applied to colored museum textile pieces for the investigation of dyes on archaeological findings and on textiles found in sepulchral vaults. It was found that the dyes may be determined even in the case of faded textiles. Findings are presented. -- AATA
