The fiber art of the Cuna Indians, who live on the San Blas Islands near Panama and Columbia, is described. The work, called molas, was originally intended to decorate blouses. The decorative panels consist of layers of cotton fabric with intricate cutouts in the top layers revealing the colors beneath.
