A celestial and terrestial globe and their stands reported to have been made by Father Vincenzo Coronelli in 1693 and 1694 were studied. Upon close examination of the globes and their stands it was determined that the workmanship indicated a much more modern date of origin. The globe stands were disassembled and examined. X-radiography was used to study the globes themselves. A brief discussion of the evidence found to support this conclusion is given.
