Abstract
Among the many artifacts found in several seasons of excavation at 'Ain Ghazal were items designated white ware, collected during the first season. X-ray fluorescence analysis of these wares showed them to be made primarily of limestone, with a little quartz, rather than of plaster. The samples from 'Ain Ghazal are discussed in comparison with objects from the surrounding area, in terms of composition, manufacturing technique, and decoration. -- AATA
