Abstract
Results of atmospheric exposure tests on zinc and galvinized coatings are summarized under two headings: (i) the effect of additions to the galvanizing bath on the corrosion-resistance of hot-dipped coatings, and (ii) the behavior of rolled zinc sheets of differing purity. In general the effect of impurities in the metal on the rate of corrosion was very slight. However, zinc-2per thousand-copper alloy sheet corroded less than pure zinc sheet.
