The preparation and calibration of a secondary standard for the INGEIS Radiocarbon Dating Laboratory are presented. The preparation of this standard of barium carbonate is described, and its advantages are listed. A control chart for the activity of the standard over a long period is drawn, showing non-significant deviation, and supporting its usefulness. -- AATA
