An interesting phase of glass production took place, in Europe, north of Alps, in the early Iron Age, which resulted in the production of the so-called Celtic glass. The glass was examined from the standpoint of glass chemistry using semi-quantitative spectroscopy, wet chemical analysis, etc. The results showed that the Celtic glass is an extraordinarily resistant one. -- AATA
