Composition diagrams in which sample numbers are identified are given for pottery from the named production centers. The oxides included are: CaO, AlI2IOI3I, MgO, TiOI2I, SiOI2I, KI2IO, MnO and FeI2IOI3I. The authors discuss a method of multivariate analysis used to calculate the probability of a sample belonging to a given composition group. They point out that this procedure distinguishes the potsherds of Banassac from those of La Graufesenque whereas the composition diagrams do not. -- AATA
