Abstract
The application of Computer-Assisted Design to the traditional technique of relics repair enhances the intended repair effects in the repair process and raises the accuracy of formulating the best repair scheme. The features of CAD in two-dimensional and three-dimensional effects help restore damage to relics, remove and preserve essences of different colors, create and copy the missing parts of objects, and preview installation of objects. It not only facilitates repair of relics, but also makes a perfect combination of traditional techniques and contemporary computer technology. -- ICCROM
