Abstract
The developing process is described. Optical density versus the logarithm of exposure is plotted for normal development contrasted with that of a solarized photograph. By stringently controlling the variables, multiple prints can be processed. Man Ray was the first to use this process as an art form. Theoretical explanations of the process are offered; instructions for achieving this effect are outlined.
