Abstract
The utility of a drill-boring test was studied as a new test method to estimate the deterioration of stone and to evaluate the consolidation effect of resin impregnation on it. The authors state that the resulting curve of the depth of bored hole against the revolution of the drill can show deterioration patterns of stone, penetration depth, and the hardening effect of resin impregnated for consolidation. They also state that the test has some problems yet to be solved, including the wear of the drill. -- AATA
