Spectra and decay time of fluorescence of dyed silk cloths were measured under the nitrogen laser excitation. These values are characteristic of respective dyes, and the data can be used for their identification. The natural dyes studied are kariyasu gardenia, Amur cork tree, safflower, Japanese madder, cochineal, and sappan wood. -- AATA
