Abstract
The location of the <i>Kyrenia</i> shipwreck, the age, the excavation, the cargo, the condition and conservaton are summarized. Polyethylene glycol (PEG) was used to preserve the waterlogged wood. The reconstruction of the hull and display in the museum in Cyprus are mentioned. The <i>Kyrenia II</i> project replica is described. Details are given of: construction, ancient technology, sources of financing, sea trials, and purpose. A major goal was to discover how design and construction affect seaworthyness. -- AATA
