Three types of methods for measuring the solubility parameters of organic compounds,including dyes, fibers, and dyeing solvents, are reviewed and compared with other methods involving molecular theory of solutions. The three types are a) methods of calculation from structural formulae, 2) methods of calculation from known or determinable physical constraints, and c) experimental determination. -- AATA
