The effect of multiple launderings was studied in the presence and absence of oxidative bleaches on cellulose crosslinked with cyclic alkyleneureaformaldehyde resin. The results of these studies lead to a better understanding of the mechanism underlying the degradation caused by active chlorine and its correlation with formaldehyde release. -- AATA
