Stained glass panels from the collections of the Cloisters Museum, Princeton University Art Museum, and Walters Art Gallery were analyzed for their chemical composition. The various methods of obtaining chemical compositions are described, and the kinds of information which can be inferred from a compositional analysis (how particular workshops produced a certain color of glass) are illustrated. -- AATA
