The archaeometry laboratory of the Leipzig Museum of Ethnology is staffed with a chemist and an engineer of metallurgy and metallography. Their fields of activity range from the guidance of restoration workshops to the preparation of ethnographic research papers. The equipment includes analyzers for microanalysis and ultramicroanalysis, various microscopes, and a quartz prism spectrograph.
