The methods of fabrication of six bird-askoi -- pottery vessels with bag-shaped bodies and aviform necks -- of the 6th to the 3rd centuries BC, were elucidated by a combination of visual examination and xeroradiography. The latter records an x-radiographic image via an electrostatic charge pattern on a previously charged plate, the image being developed and fixed by means of a xerox toner. It is especially good at imaging small inclusions and voids within the ceramic, which enables techniques used in forming the vessel to be deduced. Three distinct fabrication methods were found, one based on coil-building and the other two on wheel-throwing, with differences in the subsequent methods of forming the shape. The results are discussed in terms of workshop attributions for the vessels. -- AATA
