Abstract
The relation between the copper content and red color in red stained-glass windows from the Middle Ages was studied by microscopy and x-ray microprobe analysis. Different states of copper in the glass were explained as the reason for the lick of correlation between color and copper content, rather than a diffusion process during the glassmaking. -- AATA
