The vapor diffusion in hydrophobic and non-hydrophobic stones is examined. It was ascertained that in hydrophobic stones there is still a diffusion which is substantially slowed down. The author therefore sees danger for hydrophobic stones which still take on water from the ground or from leaking gutters and eaves; and he suggests that damages on hydrophobic stones be analyzed again.
