Accelerated test procedures for evaluating the dye stability of color paper prints were investigated. At low relative humidity in the dark, high temperature was found to be the mostappropriate accelerating test condition. At high relative humidity, however, high temperature was found inadequate, since the evaporation of dye solvents became significant. In lightirradiated conditions, the light intensity influenced the rate of dye fading even when the total illumination amount was kept constant. Other factors also influenced the results of the light irriadated tests.
