Abstract
The author developed a new method for restoring old newspapers. Traditional restoration methods were excluded because of the weakness of the material. Thermoplastic polyethylene was chosen to laminate deacidified newsprint. The paper was now subjected to an artificial ageing process. The results were excellent.
