Abstract

A modified American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) Test Method was used to analyze a broad range of samples from a number of carpet mills. Although none of the mills used formaldehyde in making their carpets, trace amounts of formaldehyde were found in a number of the samples tested.
