Abstract
Methods used to test the dispersion behavior and properties of dyes are compiled, classified, described, and evaluated. The tests include filtration of the dispersion through a filter paper or textile substrate, paper chromatography, application speck test, stability test at high temperature, glass plate test, and instrumental physical assessment of particle size and distribution. The filtration and speck tests achieved good reproducibility and provided reliable information on the dyes.
