Abstract
The detection and identification of parasites in archaeological sediments can add to our understanding of the etiology and epidemiology of human and animal disease, and aid in the solution of particular problems in archaeology. The author examines the role of parasitology in the interpretation of prehistoric events and cultural revolution.
