Abstract
This project was selected to be done as part of the ICCROM 1980 Course on Architectural Conservation. The condition of the facade was evaluated. Temperature and humidity were appraised. The marble required treatment with a synthetic mortar and consolidation of the exfoliated stone. Various cleaning methods to remove the thick crust of salts which covered theentire building were discussed. -- AATA
