Abstract
Part of the hoard was discovered in grave-digging in 1972, and more coins were found insubsequent controlled excavation. The 79 coins are Anglo-Saxon, Hiberno-Norse, HibemoManx (a new discovery), and Norman of 10th-11th centuries; three silver arm rings (ring money) were also present. Deposition: 1060-70. The 15-16 other Viking hoards in the island are mapped. -- AATA
