The metalworking of Pantikapaion, the capital of the Bosporian State, situated in the territory of Eastern Crimea and Taman Peninsula from the sixth century BC onwards is discussed. The author analyses the remains of metalworkshops, their grouping, the character of production (undifferentiated, ironworking, production of arms and armor, statue casting etc.), summarizes all the finds of casting molds, production waste. The materials are described according to historical periods in the economical and political development context of Bosporus. The publication is supplemented with results of the spectroanalytical study of about 200 bronzes from the excavations of Pantikapaion. -- AATA
