Abstract
Analysis of the samples of ground, pigments, and binder from Kolanpak wall painting was carried out using different analytical techniques. The ground was found to be composed of lime and sand in the ratio of 2:5. Red and yellow ochers and carbon black were identified in the pigment samples. A protein binder, probably gelatin, was found to be present in the paint and the plaster as well. The present condition of the paintings is also discussed. -- AATA
