Abstract
The porosity properties of the three sandstone varieties in a nonweathered state and after natural and artificial weathering are discussed. It has been stated that the pore radius distribution measured by mercury porosimetry allow a rock classification. It is also possible to quantitatively describe the weathering state by means of porosity. The presence of foreign phases in the rock can be detected. -- AATA
