Abstract
Describes a test for assessing the depth of effectiveness of preservatives to which resins or pigments have been added. The inhibiting effect on growth of test fungi of thin discs cut from borer cores is measared. Examination of wood specimens treated with 30 sabstances showed that the depth of effectiveness of fangicides is affected by the type of resins and solvents as well as their amount. -- AATA
